UEC Showcases Advanced Propulsion Solutions for Future UAVs at UMEX 2026

admin January 21, 2026

The United Engine Corporation (UEC), part of the Rostec state corporation, is presenting a portfolio of small-sized engines and next-generation power solutions for prospective unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at UMEX 2026 in the United Arab Emirates.

At the International Unmanned Systems and Simulation Exhibition and Conference, UEC is highlighting demonstrators of a hybrid propulsion system, an energy unit, and a high-power battery module, all designed for integration into future aerial platforms. The developments underscore the corporation’s focus on enhancing endurance, efficiency, and operational flexibility for next-generation UAVs.

A centerpiece of the display is a 500 kW hybrid powerplant demonstrator, described by UEC as a unique development within Russia. The system is intended to support a wide range of prospective aircraft, offering scalable power generation and improved energy management to meet demanding mission profiles.

UEC’s participation at UMEX 2026 reflects growing industry emphasis on hybrid-electric architectures for unmanned aviation, particularly for applications requiring extended loiter time, reduced acoustic signatures, and adaptable power delivery. The showcased solutions are positioned to support future UAV concepts across surveillance, logistics, and specialized mission sets.
