Global Tech Leaders Unite at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 to Shape the Future of AI, Biotech, and Quantum Innovation

The 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world’s largest technology and AI exhibition, will take place from 13–17 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together more than 6,800 tech enterprises, 2,000 startups, and participants from 180 countries. Running alongside is Expand North Star 2025, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy at Dubai Harbour from 12–15 October, celebrating its 10th edition.

With the global AI market projected to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033 (UNCTAD), this year’s event focuses on biotech, physical AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and data centres — the sectors driving innovation across future-critical industries.

Global Collaboration to Accelerate AI Transformation

Tech giants including Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Siemens, and Snowflake headline the exhibition, joined by new participants such as Cerebras, Datadog, Mitsubishi, Qualcomm, Rital, ServiceNow, Tata Electronics, Telecom Italia, and Tenstorrent.

Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of DWTC, noted that GITEX GLOBAL continues to be “a harbinger of innovation-led progress across industries and global economies,” connecting global leaders where AI ingenuity meets humanity’s most pressing challenges.

Record International Participation

This year marks record representation from emerging tech economies, with Brazil joining as Country Partner, and major delegations from Serbia, Chile, Canada, Türkiye, and Pakistan.
Tatiana Riera, COO of ApexBrasil, said: “It’s a great opportunity to show how Brazil is driving innovation and creating tech solutions for global challenges.”
Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, added that Serbian startups are showcasing AI applications across well-being, energy, and sentiment diagnostics, reflecting the region’s fast-growing innovation ecosystem.

Super Data Centres: The AI Factories of the Future

With global data centre investments projected to exceed $500 billion in 2025 (BofA Research), the event will spotlight next-generation AI infrastructure. O’Leary Ventures—currently building the world’s largest AI data centre park in Canada—leads discussions alongside Khazna CEO Hassan Alnaqbi, representing MENA’s largest hyperscale provider, on the challenge of scaling infrastructure to meet AI demand.

GITEX Digi Health & Biotech – The Next Frontier of Medicine

AI-driven biotechnology takes centre stage, with Mammoth Biosciences CEO Trevor Martin discussing CRISPR-based genetic cures, and Paradromics CEO Matt Angle exploring brain-computer interfaces. South Korean startup HurayPositive also unveils an AI-powered SaaS platform delivering precision medicine to over one million chronic-care patients.

Physical AI and Robotics

Innovations in Physical AI include Tensor’s world’s first personal robocar and K2’s humanoid and industrial robotics, as the robotics AI market is forecast to quadruple to $94 billion by 2031. These breakthroughs signal a major shift toward automated, intelligent industry systems.

Quantum, Semiconductors, and Sovereign AI

The GITEX Quantum Expo (GQX) will feature IBM’s Quantum System Two, advancing scalable fault-tolerant computing. PsiQuantum Co-Founder Prof. Mark Thompson and IONQ, the first pure-play quantum company listed on the NYSE, will also present future-ready solutions.

At AI Semicon, AMD and Tenstorrent will showcase next-generation processors powering sovereign AI systems — emphasizing how semiconductors are becoming a new pillar of geopolitical and economic power.

Startups, Scaleups & Unicorns at Expand North Star 2025

Celebrating a decade of innovation, Expand North Star will host 2,000 startups and over 1,200 investors managing $1.1 trillion in assets. More than 40 unicorns will attend, including Cerebras, Fluidstack, and Xpanceo, presenting pioneering projects such as decarbonised AI supercomputers and AI-powered smart contact lenses.

Conclusion

GITEX GLOBAL 2025 and Expand North Star reaffirm Dubai’s role as a global hub for technology, startups, and innovation—uniting governments, corporates, and investors to accelerate progress in AI, biotech, and deep-tech ecosystems.
